Hello everyone. We are very excited to share our wines with you this coming season. Steven and I, with the help of many, have been working this property now for seven years, readying the vineyard for a maximum yield. We're proud of our efforts, having learned much of what we know now through consultations, reading, networking and hard labor. Albeit amateur winemakers, we're impressed with the results and we think you will be too.
We are a small vineyard, just under two acres on Isle La Motte, Vermont. We predominately grow Marquette grapes for red wines and LaCrescent for white, with miscellaneous Frontenac, Frontenac Blanc, and Louise Swenson varieties mixed in for complexity. Our releases this season will include a Marquette, a white blend, a rosé, and a bourbon barrel-aged Marquette. We've been expanding our offerings and experimenting with our wine-making processes.
Steven and I are originally from upstate New York, in and around the Plattsburgh area. We came back to this region to semi-retire and to reconnect with family after living in Alaska for almost 30 years. Then, we set out on an adventure of a lifetime, ultimately settling in Juneau, where we made our livelihood and helped raise Steven's daughters. We possessed the courage, the thrill of setting out those many years ago, and we apply that same excitement and passion to our land and grapes.
Here we are, Steven and Jamie Foley, our dogs, Flash and Ketch. We officially open for tastings in the spring of 2021. Please, come meet us, drink our wines.
