After exploring numerous wineries and vineyards, my partner Steven and I infused our experiences into Isle La Motte Vineyard, nestled in picturesque Grand Isle County along Lake Champlain. Joining the vibrant community of Vermont wineries, we've made it our mission to craft inviting spaces.

At our vineyard, nestled among the scenic Vermont vineyards, we offer a warm welcome to all wine enthusiasts eager to learn about the local Vermont wine scene. Come savor our wines while soaking in one of the best views for wine tasting in Vermont. We're passionate about taking it slow, chatting with visitors, and sharing our love for wine and nature.

Visit Our Tasting Room

Isle La Motte Vineyard’s tasting room is now complete. With an intimate, well appointed inside area, patrons can enjoy a glass of wine or flight in air conditioning in summer, or a cozy respite in wintertime. The adjacent outdoor porch allows an up close view of the vineyard in summer, with alfresco tables and cool breezes.

Explore Our Wines

Presently, we produce and warehouse various white and red wines, which change according to our seasonal harvest. Our flagship wines include a stand-along Marquette called Ruin, a bourbon-barrel aged Marquette finished in Smuggler’s Notch distillery barrels and a Marquette Rosé. We carry blends and stand alone white wines using Frontenac blanc, La Crescent, and Lousie Swenson grapes.

We are a small operation and we want you to experience slow cuisine, sun, beautiful flowers, and bird song.

Great local spot with amazing and unique wines fermented and aged on-site! New this year is an open air tasting room with small plates featuring local fare with an amazing vineyard view. Stop in and try the robust Bourbon Barrel, Marquette, or the Rose and grab a snack. A must see if you are visiting the islands!
